What is College Life?

College Life is the all-in-one app for students. Build your class schedule, get reminders so you never skip class, earn rewards for showing up, track assignments, exams and GPA, take and share notes, message classmates, buy and sell on the campus marketplace, and get help from Cam, an AI companion you can talk to.

Is College Life free?

Yes. College Life is free to download and the core features (schedule, reminders, attendance check-in rewards, GPA tracking, notes, the resume builder, the campus feed, connecting your school's class calendar, and buying and selling on the Marketplace) are free. Premium ($4.99/mo) is an optional upgrade, and it starts with a 7 day free trial on iPhone and Android.

What does Premium include?

Premium ($4.99/mo) unlocks Ask Cam and Study Mode, Campus Tutors, resume PDF export, the AI Schedule Scan, unlimited marketplace listings, routine insights, unlimited note sharing, friend location sharing, custom themes, smart reminders, and an ad-free app.

Can College Life pull in my assignments from Canvas or Blackboard?

Yes, and it is free. Open Settings, then Class calendar, and paste the calendar feed link your school publishes (in Canvas it is the "Calendar Feed" button on the calendar page; Blackboard and Moodle have the same option, sometimes called iCalendar or Export calendar). Your assignment due dates import automatically and stay current, so if a professor moves a deadline it moves in College Life too. We never ask for your school login and there is no account linking. It syncs every night, works on the web as well as the app, and you can disconnect it whenever you like.

Can I upload my syllabus instead of typing everything in?

Yes, with Premium. Open Schedule, tap Scan schedule, and choose a PDF. College Life reads it and pulls out your class meeting times along with every dated assignment, reading, quiz, midterm and final. Everything it finds is listed for you to review before anything is saved, and dates that have already passed are skipped. A photo of a printed schedule works the same way.

Is there a free trial of Premium?

Yes. Premium starts with a 7 day free trial on iPhone and Android. It becomes $4.99/mo when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before, and it renews until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. The trial is a store introductory offer, so if you have subscribed to College Life Premium before on the same Apple ID or Google account you will not be offered it again.

Does College Life build my resume?

Yes. The resume builder starts from what the app already knows — your school, major, expected graduation, classes and GPA — so you are editing a draft rather than staring at a blank page. It produces a single-column layout with no tables or graphics, which is what applicant tracking systems can actually read, and it puts education before experience the way a student resume should. Building, printing and sharing are free; exporting the finished PDF is a Premium feature.

Can I make my account private?

Yes, and it’s free — privacy isn’t a paid extra. Turn it on in Settings → Privacy. Other students can still find you by name, but your posts, school, major and bio stay hidden until you approve their follow request. Profiles are only visible to signed-in students in the first place, so nobody without an account can read yours.

Who is Cam?

Cam is the College Life AI companion. Here on the site he answers questions about the app. Inside the app, Premium students can ask him anything: type your question or just talk, and he answers out loud in his own voice. Answers appear as he writes them, and your conversations are saved so you can pick up where you left off.

How do I add a class and get reminders?

Open Schedule, add a class with the days and times it meets, and it appears on your schedule straight away with a reminder before each class. With Premium you can skip the typing: snap a photo of your schedule, or upload your course syllabus as a PDF, and the AI Schedule Scan builds your classes for you.

Can I control my notifications so I am not overwhelmed?

Yes. In Settings → Notifications you can turn each type on or off, set quiet hours (a do-not-disturb window), and choose between a reminder before every class or one daily summary of the day’s classes. Check-in reminders also stop once you’ve checked in.

Can I take notes, attach files, and share them?

Yes. Notes let you write per class, attach photos and files, pin the important ones, filter by class, and share with classmates (view or edit). Notes sync between the app and the website, so you can pick up on either.

How do attendance rewards work?

Set a class location once, and at class time the app offers a one-tap check-in. It verifies you are really at the building during class time, and each check-in earns a point, with badges as your class days add up. Rewards are points and badges, not cash. You can optionally share milestones with a parent.

How does the monthly merch giveaway work?

Each month we give away free College Life merch (a shirt or hoodie) to one lucky student. Enter with your email from the giveaway popup on our site. One entry per email per month, no purchase necessary, and we email the winner directly.

Can I be in College Life’s videos or ads?

Yes — two ways, both free to apply at collegelife.app/ambassadors. Become a Campus Ambassador to rep College Life at your school (and earn perks like free Premium and merch), or a Digital Rep (18+): send a couple of photos and, if selected, our team creates an AI “digital twin” of you that stars in our videos and ads — so you don’t have to film every video yourself. You sign a likeness release first, and nothing is posted without your approval.

Which devices does College Life work on?

College Life is available on iOS and Android, and you can also use it on the web at collegelife.app. One account keeps everything in sync across your phone and the website.

Is there a home-screen widget?

Yes, on both iPhone and Android. Add the College Life widget to your home screen to see your next class and your next deadline at a glance without opening the app. Full dark mode is supported throughout.

Where can I buy College Life merch?

Do you have study tips or a blog?

Yes. Our blog at collegelife.app/blog has articles on studying, staying organized, and getting the most out of college, with new posts added regularly.

How do I manage or cancel Premium?

Open Settings → College Life Premium to manage or cancel. Access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.

I did not get my email verification code.

Codes are 6 digits and can take a minute. Check your spam folder, make sure your email is correct, and request a new code. Codes are rate-limited, so wait a moment between tries.

Can I post videos?

Yes. You can share a short video (up to 15 seconds to start) on the campus feed, and you choose which frame of the clip becomes its cover. You can post video on the web, iPhone and Android. Every upload is screened automatically for explicit content, anyone can report a video, and a reported post is hidden from the feed immediately.

How do I report or block someone?

Tap the “…” menu on a post, listing, or chat to Report (it is hidden right away and reviewed) or Block. Manage blocked users in Settings → Blocked users.

How is my data protected?

Your data is protected with row-level security so you can only access your own information, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and strict access controls. For privacy or data requests, email privacy@collegelife.app.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile and data and cannot be undone.

How do I contact support?

Send us a message from the Contact page or email support@collegelife.app, and we reply within 2 business days. In the app, you can also tap Settings → Help & support to chat with Cam, our in-app assistant.
